2nd EP From Milan's fabulous K.Board & The Skreens

After experimenting with language as pure sound in their previous “Langue” EP, K.Board & The Skreens are back with four new tracks in which they keep on pushing the boundaries of their experimentativeness, ending up coming full circle and becoming pop (sort of).

MANIFESTO

K. Board & The Skreens think of themselves as punk, but define themselves an “electronish group”. The style of KB&TS can be defined by three constants +1:

1. lo-fi (if not incompetent) and strictly DIY attitude to music/production
2. complete disinterest in sticking to “a genre” (so maybe we’re indeed “a pop group”?)
3. almost total invisibility1, probably boosted by the previous 2 features
+1. KB&TS never played (and have no interest in playing) live

Well, yes the title of this new EP is in fact “The New” (EP). Why? Because it’s indeed a new one, also it’s THE new, while also being deja-vu.

The ever changing musical style of KB&TS this time settled (for quite unfathomable reasons) on a sort of gummy pseudo pop.

There’s even the odd chord change, actual choruses and for the first time ever the music of K. Board & The Skreens comes with proper lyrics, with real meaning.

In true pop fashion they’re even hosting a special guest. The guest being none other than the talented singer-songwriter Gèép Coltrain (pron: [jep] as in step, not as Jeep).
