Gavin Hellyer Much appreciation towards Dandelion Radio for their regular airing of this inimitable performer, a persistence which has certainly peaked my curiosity. This curiosity has now been satisfied for the time being with my simultaneous acquisition of several recent releases. Favorite track: Fifty 45's.

about

Debut release by UK artist Sir Robert Orange Peel

Great British eclectic independent music that has a little bit of early Mute about it, a little dub, some guitars and cheap electronics and of course some more dub.

All held together by a great sense of deprecating humour.

Sounds nothing like the Sleaford Mods. But in there is that same fuck you i'll do it "how i like" aesthetic.

British music isn't dead it's just hiding under the bedcovers.

Sir Robert is a little more succinct !

"Sir Robert Orange Peel is an audio project making tunes from the Iphone and guitars."
