With their latest single Lyin' Down the band delves deeper into their sonic alchemy, seamlessley fusing elements of punk psychedelia with industrial undertones.

Strange Dream are the first guitar band we've heard from Manchester and the UK NW in general , in eons ,that somehow fuses that citys' jangle guitar past with a totally updated version of the sound.

From heavyweights like the the Hollies, Smiths & Stone Roses to the late 80's undreground of the The Weeds, World of Twist & Paris Angels and even over to Liverpool, to echo the productions of the likes of the la's and The Real People.

Personally I'm really excited by Strange Dream as they seem to fill that gap that we've been missing ever since I Am Kloot left the stage.

They have the Manchester genetics of Kloot, Joy Division, Smiths & the Roses with a new sound influenced by the best of the American garage underground of the Allah Lahs, Black Lips and Thee O See's

I am very excited to release ,this , their 4th single via Bandcamp

A strange dream indeed that Manchester guitar music rises again after so many years in the doldrums.

As they said to me a few months back , "We just write tunes".

Anybody who knows the history of Manchester music will know it's with this simple phrase that the city's musical genetic map grows another DNA strand.
